LOVE of Yoga- Traveling across the country to shoot with Natiya Guin

For the LOVE of Yoga... studio owner, yoga teacher, and Georgia peach, Randalle Love flew cross the country to work Natiya and the Portrait of Health team at the request of Om Yoga Magazine's senior designer. Here is what she had to say about her experience:

This past summer, I had the privilege of flying out to San Diego and doing a photo shoot with an amazing and talented photographer, Natiya Guin. The senior designer at Om Yoga & Lifestyle Magazine had recommended Natiya to me, as she had done lots of work for them previously. When I saw her images, I immediately knew I wanted to work with her! I contacted her and we decided to do the shoot at her home instead of at her studio in L.A.

Natiya put so much time, energy, and thought into her work, and I was very impressed. She made me feel so comfortable, along with her assistant, Alexandra Dusenberry. The first day, we shot for several hours inside, experimenting with various yoga poses. The next day, she drove me to a couple of beautiful spots, one being on Del Mar beach. Even though it was chilly and wet out, she took her time to get the best photos possible.

I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Natiya, who in my opinion, is one of the best photographers in the world!

Namaste.

  1. Relief of tensions and contractures
Yoga is a natural method to get rid of tension accumulated daily, both in the physical and mental body. Indeed, postures and pranayamas are effective techniques to

release stress, often manifested as contractures in the neck, back and joints.
